《末日迷蹤》是一部恐怖、科幻、驚悚的災難片，由維克•阿姆斯特朗擔任執導，Jerry B. Jenkins、Tim LaHaye聯合操刀劇本，尼古拉斯•凱奇、查德•邁克爾•墨瑞、卡西•湯普森、莉•湯普森、妮基•韋蘭等聯袂演繹。《末日迷蹤》講訴了在一架飛越大西洋的噴氣式飛機上，由凱奇扮演機長正全神貫注地駕駛著飛機。然而一場突如其來的意外發生了，飛機在萬米高空遇到了百年難遇的詭異的空氣現象。而在這場詭異的空氣現象之后，飛機上的幾名旅客竟神秘地消失了。當他向地面總局匯報情況的時候，他才知道在詭異現象出現的同時，地球上也突然間消失了幾百萬人。他們消失得無影無蹤，毫無地方可尋。唯一證明他們曾經在地球的證據就是遺留滿地的衣服、褲子、鞋子……正當地球上的人們陷入一片恐慌之時，凱奇也在經歷的更糟糕的事情——飛機損壞了。為了防止意外的發生，他找到臨近的飛機場進行飛機迫降。另一方面，在地面上的凱奇的女兒也在焦急的尋找著因為怪異現象而離奇消失的母親和弟弟......人們試圖找出事情的真相，而只有少數人才明白真正的緣由......
